Combined Heating KORALUX

All KORALUX towel rail radiators which are connected to a hot water heating system can be additionally fitted with an electric heating element without an integrated controller (the simplest and cheapest option which works on an on/off principle without the possibility of user intervention), with a controller (the electric heating elements are equipped with a built-in controller which allows users to set the desired temperature), or with a controller controlled using NEX APP (a state-of-the-art solution which combines all the advantages of electric heating elements with a controller with the added benefit of remote control and monitoring via a mobile app). This creates a towel rail radiator for combined heating (hot water - electricity) which can then be used independently from operation of the heating system.
An electric heating element without an integrated temperature controller can be connected to the fixed electrical mains via a power cord to the installation box in combination with a home temperature control system or an external temperature controller. It can be plugged into a mains socket if you add a Z-SKV-0008-XY plug with a switch.

Basic technical information – accessories

Safety notice:

• Installation and replacement of the electric heating element, replacement of the power cord and installation of all electrical accessories may only be performed by a person with the required and valid professional qualifications.
• The recommended (maximum) output values of the electric heating elements, which are specified in the technical data for individual KORALUX towel rail radiators, must not be exceeded.
• If the same outlet is used for connection of the radiator to the heating system as that used for installation of the electric heating element, a T-branch must be ordered (product code Z-SKV-0009).
• Installation is only permitted vertically with the power cord at the bottom, i.e. the electric heating element must only be inserted into the radiator from the bottom.
• The radiator must not be aerated and must be permanently connected to the heating system.
• Familiarise yourself in detail with the enclosed “Instructions for use”, where all rules and conditions to ensure safe operation of the combined heating radiator are clearly and demonstrably explained and emphasised.

Combined heating - electric heating elements

ERA electric heating elements are controlled using the app

ERA electric heating elements are fitted with an electric heating element with a room air temperature controller controlled using the app. A controller with Bluetooth connectivity allows for control using NEX APP, available for Android and iOS. Monitoring consumption using NEX APP provides an overview of the amount and cost of electricity consumed, helping users to better monitor and manage their energy consumption.

Smart functions: Numerous drying modes, weekly programming and parental control.
Antifreeze protection: The antifreeze function of the liquid in the radiator prevents damage when the weather is cold.
LED indicators: Colour LEDs provide visual information about operating statuses and temperature settings.
Two-stage thermal protection: Ensures safe operation and protection against overheating.
Energy efficient: Low energy consumption when switched off thanks to Ultra-Low-Power technology. If you combine NEX APP with external sensors, you gain additional features and options for even better heating control and automation.

Some of these features include:
- Temperature control in the room: When used with an external temperature sensor (Z-SKV-0006), the app allows the desired room temperature to be set and maintained. This means that the heating element will be controlled on the basis of the current room temperature, not only the temperature of the water in the radiator.
- Function to switch off heating when the window is open: When used with an external open window sensor (Z-SKV-0007), the app can automatically turn off the heating element when it detects that a window or door is open, helping to prevent energy waste.
