The brand KORADO represents a guarantee of high quality, long durability, outstanding performance and competitive pricing. Our aim is to offer a complete heating solution having a traditional base in the wide range of steel panel radiators RADIK, towel rail radiators KORALUX, design radiators KORATHERM and convectors KORADO. Recently we have introduced a new line in our product portfolio, a comprehensive range of local ventilation and heat recovery units which significantly extend the product portfolio of our company. We are using the most up-to-date technology within the industry in all our production plants which has been confirmed by granting the ISO 9001:2015 certificate acknowledging conformity of all production processes with the international standards of this demanding norm.

The high quality of the products of KORADO company is further proved by acquiring the national quality marks RAL (Germany). Quality marks for other important markets such as GOST for Russia, Ukraine. These quality marks declare that the high demands on the quality of used materials, construction and production of all our radiators and their regulary testing are followed.        

The quality management system ISO 9001:2015 in connection with the national quality marks guarantees the highest degree of quality of the products and of all activities of KORADO company on the European and world's markets.

The company KORADO, a.s. boasts the new ISO 14001:2015 certification, proving that it meets international standards for environmental management. It received this award after a challenging process that included reviewing and improving its environmental practices and processes.

Hygiene certificate

Steel panel radiators RADIK in the version HYGIENE, i.e. models RADIK CLEAN, RADIK CLEAN VK, RADIK HYGIENE and RADIK HYGIENE VK were tested in specialized accredited laboratories and acquired a hygiene certificate ( RADIK HYGIENE - HYGIENE VK, RADIK CLEAN - CLEAN VK) for use in health care institutions and other facilities with high demands on hygiene and cleanness. We have also obtained hygiene certificates issued by the Medical University of Gdańsk, Poland (Department of Health Sciences) for RADIK panel radiators, KORALUX towel rail radiators and KORATHERM design radiators.

Declaration of Performance and CE Marking for Radiators

We have issued the Declaration of Performance for radiators RADIK, KORALUX, KORATHERM and a complete range of KORADO convectors which was drawn up according to the Regulation No. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the EC Council. The Declaration of Performance replaces the EC Declaration of Conformity (the Regulation 89/106/EHS of the EC Council has been cancelled). The Declaration of Performance includes among others the characteristic performance and intended use of the product. By CE marking on the products and in technical documentation the producer declares that he bears full responsibility for the conformity of the respective product with the performance stated in the Declaration of Performance.

The certification process was carried out by the Strojírenský zkušební ústav s.p. (Machinery Testing Institute), notified body 1015, Brno, Czech Republic.

The measurement of heat outputs of all KORADO radiators is carried out in accredited laboratories according to the harmonized standard EN 442.

KORADO RADIATOR USER MANUAL (Detailed conditions) and quality guarantee conditions

1. KORADO radiators (RADIK, KORALUX and KORATHERM) can be used for heating under the following conditions: 
   

The radiators can be used for heating of residential buildings, offices and premises with normal relative humidity, where the surface of the element does not get constantly or occasionally wet. It is prohibited to use them in rooms with high relative humidity, in insufficiently ventilated areas, and in spaces with a high degree of corrosion aggressiveness according to DIN 55 900, such as swimming pools, car washes, public restrooms, etc. It is also prohibited to place them in buildings that will not be heated during the first year after their construction or modernization.

• the radiators must be installed in a closed heating system with closed circulation of the heating medium,
• the radiators must be installed in a closed heating system with a closed circulation of the heat transfer medium,
• the radiators must be installed in a closed heating system made of black steel, copper, or plastic pipes with an anti-diffusion barrier.
• the radiators must be installed in a closed heating system where damage prevention measures are implemented for these devices according to VDI 2035,
• the radiators must be professionally installed in closed heating systems that are professionally executed according to VDI 2035, considering protection against corrosion and limescale damage,
• before commissioning the radiators, the tightening of sealing plugs and valves must be checked using the correct tightening torque
• the following key quality characteristics of the heat transfer medium must be observed: pH range 8,5-9,5 (applies to aluminium-free systems), total hardness of the heat transfer medium (Ca + Mg ion content) up to 1 mmol/l, salinity in the range 300-500 µS/cm and oxygen content not exceeding 0,1 mg/l. The excess sodium sulphite (if dosed) must not exceed 2 mg/l, and the content of suspended particles must not exceed 5 mg/l,
• the closed heating system must be continuously filled with heat transfer fluid,
• the radiators are intended for heating residential buildings, offices, and operations with normal relative humidity unless they are specifically designed for areas with higher humidity,
• the surrounding environment where the radiators are placed must not exceed the corrosion resistance requirements for the radiator surface treatment specified by DIN 55900-T.1 and DIN 55900-T.2, or by EN 442-1, unless the radiator is specifically designed for such conditions,
• the maximum operating overpressure in the heating system must not exceed 1 MPa (10 bar), for KORATHERM products 0.4 MPa (4 bar), the maximum permissible operating temperature is 110°C,

Storage, Transport, Maintenance, Cleaning, Assembly, ...

The radiators must be stored in dry, enclosed warehouses; storage in open and uncovered areas is not permitted. Only transport vehicles with a covered cargo area may be used for transportation. The surface of the heating radiators may only be cleaned with common water-dilutable cleaning agents, not with highly alkaline or acidic substances, and without abrasive additives or organic solvents. The manufacturer does not assume responsibility for deformations or damage to the radiators caused during transport, handling, or storage.

In the event of a malfunction, the repair time must be minimized, and after completion, the heating system must be immediately refilled and vented. The radiators must be regularly vented – caution should be taken to avoid burns from spraying hot water. Sitting, standing, or placing heavy objects on the radiator is prohibited.

The supplied wall plugs and screws are intended for installation in concrete structures, aerated concrete masonry, and solid or perforated bricks. If the bracket is to be mounted on a wall made of a different material, use appropriate anchoring elements designed for that type of material. Only a qualified professional is allowed to install the radiator.

2. Quality Warranty

Basic warranty conditions:

a) For RADIK, KORALUX, and KORATHERM products (except galvanized radiators), the manufacturer provides a warranty exclusively for tightness and the specified thermal performance values of the radiators installed in hot water systems. The warranty period is 10 years for RADIK products and 5 years for KORALUX and KORATHERM products.

b) For all products, a warranty is provided for surface treatment and appearance stability (e.g., deflections), with a warranty period of 30 months.

The warranty period starts from the date the buyer receives the product, but no later than 6 months from the date the manufacturer sells the product to the first buyer.

This quality warranty does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights as a consumer against their seller. Under the law, the buyer – consumer – has the right to free defect rectification according to the conditions set by law, within the framework of the seller’s statutory liability for defects.

The buyer must always claim warranty rights from their seller.

3. The warranty does not cover defects, and the manufacturer is not liable for defects in the following cases:

a) any defects resulting from:

• normal wear and tear,
• intentional or negligent damage,
• failure to follow the user manual or the above-stated conditions,
• operating conditions contrary to installation manuals or the user manual,
• failure to follow installation manuals or the user manual,
• incorrect tightening of sealing plugs or valves,
• any modifications, interventions, or changes made without the seller’s consent.

b) any defects occurring if the product was:

• installed in buildings, facilities, or spaces with high humidity, especially in public restrooms, car washes, animal enclosures, indoor swimming pools, etc., unless the product is specifically designed for such use,
• stored outdoors without proper protection,
• corroded internally and therefore leaking due to improper chemical composition of the heat transfer fluid,
• deformed after improper transport or by exceeding the maximum operating overpressure of 1 MPa (10 bar), for KORATHERM products 0.4 MPa (4 bar), unless this was caused by the manufacturer,

c) any defects arising during transport or caused by improper handling or storage by the buyer or consumer.

d) cases where the product was affected by natural forces (e.g., flood, fire, freezing, etc.).

e) When using heat cost allocators (if heat cost allocator brackets are welded or otherwise attached in a way that causes mechanical or other damage to the radiator's surface finish), the warranty on the surface finish and tightness of RADIK panel radiators does not apply to the areas on both sides of the panel where the brackets are attached. This exclusion extends to a boundary 250 mm away from the location of mechanical or thermal damage of the panel (such as welding points or surfaces with removed coating for joint preparation) or any other defects caused by such mechanical or other damage to the surface finish.

Guarantee Period

We provide the following guarantee period for leakage and declared heat outputs and technical parameters of our radiators placed in hot water systems:

10 years from the date of sale (valid for radiators delivered after 1st September 2007)

5 years guarantee Towel Rail Radiators KORALUX, Design Radiators KORATHERM

5 years from the date of sale

2 years guarantee Towel Rail Radiators for Direct Electric Heating KORALUX – E, Design Radiators KORATHERM - E

2 years from the date of sale

The producer doesn’t assume any responsibility for deformations and damages caused during their transportation, handling and storage. The guarantee doesn’t apply to mechanical and other damages caused by unprofessional or unskilled installation of radiators or damages caused by incompetent electrical or plumbing installation.
